Chalk is a common product, and will normally contain common ingredients including Calcium Carbonate, pigments, and fillers. Getting the right formula is what differentiates general chalk from true art quality pastel chalk!
This is why Mercurius has taken over 12 months to reformulate our chalk! Not all Calcium Carbonate is the same, and pigments come from a variety of sources - both natural and synthetic. Mercurius Pastel Chalk uses a high-quality form of Calcium Carbonate with quality all-natural pigments, in a proprietary formula to limit the need for unhealthy fillers and creating an all-natural chalk.
The result - a high quality, natural pigmented pastel chalk, answering to the demands of the blackboard artist and meeting all current worldwide safety certifications for child health and use in the classroom!
