Sarah's Silks Mini Earth Playsilks are perfect for creative and open-ended play. Sarah designed them for children to play in ways that care for Mother Earth.
Children use them as the ocean for a sailboat, the desert as the sand on a beach for a camping trip, forest as trees, stone for rock climbing, and so much more.
They are light, yet strong and the edges of each playsilk are hand-hemmed. A basket of coloured playsilks is one of the best additions to a child’s playroom. It is amazing to see what children create with them!
Some children make costumes like capes, skirts, pants, hats, veils, animal tails and more. The next day the same silks become green grass for their toy animals to live on, blue water to sail the boats, or a rainbow can appear in the sky above them.

As a family-owned company Sarah's Silks has been importing sustainably-produced, hand-woven silks from China for many years. Sarah sources her materials from a village near Suzhou, where the workers, mostly women working from home, weave, dye, sew and iron the silk products.

Play Silk Care
Hand-wash with mild shampoo or dish soap and warm water. Color-fast. Hang dry, and iron on medium to restore shine.
What happens if I order an item that is out of stock?
If you are a School Account holder, and an item you order is out of stock, we will let you know when it is expected back in stock and offer alternatives if available.
If you are not a School Account Holder, and an item you order is temporarily out of stock when we process your order, we will be in touch with options, and if nothing is available, will refund your purchase price.
