The Choroi Diatonic recorder is the recorder we recommend for children to use from the age of 8 or 9 years old.

This is the age when the senses and breathing have developed sufficiently to work with the full diatonic scale. Before this age, the child lives in a simpler world, and the pentatonic scale, with 5 notes is the world the child naturally experiences.

Especially suitable for group and classroom playing. The soft sounds unite into one pleasant harmony.

The foundation for the tone is a relaxed respiration technique - the foundation of relaxed natural breathing.
