This pencil is special. The benefits of Rembrandt Splender can best be seen in a coloured drawing.

At first one should work on various coloured areas to learn about the property of the Splender. Apply over coloured pencils like a colouring pencil. A little bit of pressure on the pencil is necessary. After application one achieves a result from a dense colour to a reduced area which has a glossy surface. This is why the name Splender comes from splendid.

The same results can be achieved with mixed colours. The type and quality of the paper used are very important. A rather porous paper allows for a higher density rather than a relatively smooth drawing paper.

The Splender pencil helps to blend pencil lines together and add a luminous shine to your artwork. With Rembrandt Pure Splender the colours become even and glossy on the page.

We recommend you first prepare and play with a coloured chart on various types of paper to help understand the Splenders' appeal.
